Dull recruitment copy catching crickets?

Book a copy coaching call to spice up your [writing] life.

Self-development is s3xy, isn’t it?

But more than that, learning how to master a new (super flippin’ valuable) skill like employer brand marketing and copywriting means -

a) you don’t have to keep savaging your barely-there budget to outsource to pros and

b) you can finally create recruitment content that captivates *your* candidates (and clients), so they’re lining up for an interview, so you can stop desperately chasing *anyone with a heartbeat* responding to your mass icy InMails, or autoposting lacklustre job alerts on your LinkedIn feed because an internet guru said, “social media is the secret to catching candidates.” [ahem, what matters is not how mighty the tool, but how you use it *wink*]

Here are some things that could be dragging your copy down into futile town:

  • ‘meh’ messaging that doesn’t sell your employer brand or offer

  • convoluted corporate speak that bewilders and deters

  • ‘blank screen syndrome’ (closely related to imposter syndrome)

  • brand voice blocks (yours and your employer’s)

  • no idea where to start – what exactly is employer branding? How does one do personal branding?

If you find yourself stuck in a vortex where everything you post (if you have the guts to post) is dull, inconsistent, and sounding the same as everyone else out there so your opportunities can’t cut through…

Copy coaching can help you unmuddle your messaging and write clearly and confidently.

And, who exactly is Kelly?

I’m a former graduate recruiter turned employer brand strategist and marketer at Craft My Content. With a background in journalism, communication and creative writing, I write vibrant recruitment content for bold employer brands who need help attracting and engaging their ideal people, because doing the same thing you've always done isn't cutting it in this info-savvy, personalisation-demanding world.

From employer brand voice and positioning to attraction and recruitment communication > I'm helping small brands stand out.

Not-so-frequently asked questions

  • Don’t be so hard on yourself! The reason many people don’t like writing is because they’ve never been taught how to write to communicate (extra wordy-to-meet-high-word-count uni assignments, anyone?). Once you learn how to introduce a healthy, daily writing habit and how to unlock your personal writing voice so you can write how it feels good and enjoyable FOR YOU (and not corp speak), writing itself will become more enjoyable as your own writing improves.

  • If your brain is tingling and you’d like to learn employer branding strategy, check out my upcoming Talent Magnet Brand Mastermind, which includes:

    > 16 recorded lessons covering brand positioning and voice, communication and content strategy, and content creation for all recruitment marketing content pieces (from job ads, blogs to candidate emails) [12 months’ access to the online learning platform]
    > Templates, worksheets, cheat sheets and tools I use for my clients and in my own business
    > For 3 x months, fortnightly 1:1 coaching calls + alternating fortnightly group coaching calls with limited student intake to ensure you get the TLC you need (that’s weekly calls!).

  • Before each call, you’ll complete a questionnaire that gives me important insights into your current and desired state, so that coaching discussions can focus on the stuff that’s most going to get you where you desire to be.

HOLD THE PHONE

Isn’t it sort of an employer’s market now?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Whether it’s a candidate’s market or employer’s market, compelling recruitment content will connect with your ideal candidates and deter poor fits.

In an employer’s market, that could look like attracting 20 amazeballs candidates instead of 200 time-draining poor fits, and in a candidate’s market, it’s convincing in-demand candidates that you’re the one that they want, ooh, ooh, ooh.

So, if you wanna get unstuck, gain confidence and clarity, and become a better, more creative writer and recruitment marketer, jump on the phone and let’s have a decaf cuppa and a chat.
